Superannuation (Retiring Age) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Superannuation Act 1976.

Minimum retiring age

Regulation 5 of the Superannuation (Retiring Age) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (5) (h) “or”; and

(b) by adding at the end of sub-regulation (5) the following word and paragraph:

“; or (k) a person who is employed by a prescribed Commonwealth authority within the meaning of the Commonwealth Employees (Redeployment and Retirement) Act 1979 otherwise than in a permanent capacity but who is not an employee within the meaning of that Act.”.
