SUPERANNUATION LEGISLATION AMENDMENT ACT 1998

No 72—PROCLAMATION

(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor.

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Superannuation Legislation Amendment Act 1998, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint:

(a)

1 October 1998 as the day on which sections 1 - 4 of that Act, and Schedule 1.2, Schedule 1.4 [6] and [14] and Schedule 1.4 [15] (insofar as it inserts the heading to Part 6 of Schedule 25 and clauses 11 and 16 (1) to Schedule 25) to that Act, commence, and

(b)

1 December 1998 as the day on which Schedule 1.4 [7]-[9] and Schedule 1.4 [15] (insofar as it inserts clause 16 (2) to Schedule 25) to that Act commence, and

( c )

1 January 1999 as the day on which the remaining uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the provisions of the Superannuation

Legislation Amendment Act 1998 that did not commence on the date of assent to that Act.
