Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Regulations 2(Amendment)
I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the
Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Superannuation
Industry (Supervision) Act 1993.

1. Amendment
1.1 The
Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Regulations are amended as set out in
these Regulations.
[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts
Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]
2. Regulation 1.04 (Section 10 of the
Act—prescribed matters)
2.1 Subregulation 1.04 (4C):
After “scheme”, insert “specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1AA”.
2.2 After subregulation 1.04 (4C), insert:
“(4D) Subregulation (4A) applies in relation to a
scheme specified in Part 2 of Schedule 1AA during the 1996-97 year of income,
and subsequent years of income, of that scheme.”.
3. Schedule 1AA
3.1. Omit the heading, substitute:
“PART 1—EXEMPT PUBLIC
SECTOR SUPERANNUATION SCHEMES (1994-95 AND 1995-96 YEARS OF INCOME)”
3.2 Under the heading “NEW SOUTH WALES” insert
the following Acts in their appropriate alphabetical positions:
“Local Government and other Authorities (Superannuation) Act
1927
New South Wales Retirement Benefits Act 1972
Public Authorities Superannuation Act 1985
State Public Service Superannuation Act 1985
Superannuation Administration Act 1991
Transport Employees Retirement Benefits Act 1967”.
3.3 Add at the end:
“PART 2—EXEMPT PUBLIC SECTOR SUPERANNUATION SCHEMES (1996-97 YEAR
OF INCOME AND SUBSEQUENT YEARS OF INCOME )
