1Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Superannuation (Government Co‑contribution for Low Income Earners) Amendment Regulations 2005 (No. 1).

2Commencement

These Regulations commence on 1 July 2005.

3Amendment of Superannuation (Government Co‑contribution for Low Income Earners) Regulations 2004

Schedule 1 amends the Superannuation (Government Co‑contribution for Low Income Earners) Regulations 2004.

    For subparagraphs 26 (2) (b) (i) and (3) (b) (i) of the Act, the prescribed date is:

    1. (a)

      if the fund is a self managed superannuation fund defined in section 17A of the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act 1993 — the 31 March immediately following the end of the financial year; or

    2. (b)

      in any other case — the 31 October immediately following the end of the financial year.
