2 Superannuation (Government and Other Employees) Amendment of Articles (No. 1) No. 185, 1993 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Superannuation (Government and Other Employees) Amendment of Articles Regulation (No. 1) 1993 . ˙ Commencement 2. This regulation is taken to have commenced on 1 January 1993. ˙ Approval of amendments of Articles of the Government Officers’ Superannuation Scheme 3. The amendments of The Articles of the Government Officers’ Superannuation Scheme set out in the Schedule are approved. 1 1 The Articles were initially published in the Gazette dated 30 June 1988 at pages 2503–11.

3 Superannuation (Government and Other Employees) Amendment of Articles (No. 1) No. 185, 1993 ¡ SCHEDULE AMENDMENT OF THE ARTICLES OF THE GOVERNMENT OFFICERS’ SUPERANNUATION SCHEME section 3 ˙ Amendment of Article 5 (Employer Contributions) 1. Article 5(5)(c)— omit ‘ 4% ’, insert ‘ 5% ’. ˙ Amendment of Article 9 (Preservation and Outward Portability) 2. After Article 9(3)— insert— ‘(4) Despite Article 9(1), if a member elects, under section 3A of the Police Superannuation Act 1974 , to become a member of the State Public Sector Superannuation Scheme— (a) so much of the amount standing to the credit of the member’s account that represents the Member’s Accumulated Employer Contributions is to be transferred to the Government Superannuation Provision Fund kept by the Treasurer; and (b) the remainder of the amount (if any) standing to the credit of the member’s account is to be transferred to the State Public Sector Superannuation Fund. ’.
