Superannuation (CSS) Continuing Contributions for Benefits Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Superannuation Act 1976.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Superannuation (CSS) Continuing Contributions for Benefits Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Regulation 4 (When s. 14A no longer applies)

2.1   Subregulation 4 (5):

Omit “of the day:”, substitute “of the earliest of the following days:”.

2.2   Paragraph 4 (5) (a):

Before “on which”, insert “the day”.

2.3   Paragraph 4 (5) (b):

Before “immediately”, insert “the day”.

2.4   Paragraph 4 (5) (c):

Before “immediately”, insert “the day”.

2.5   Subregulation 4 (5):

Add at the end:

 “; or (d) if Commonwealth control of ASP Ship Management ceases—the later of:

  • (i)

    the day on which that control ceases; or

  • (ii)

    the day immediately before the day on which this paragraph commences.”.
