Superannuation Benefit (Interim Arrangement) (Continuous Service) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, william patrick deane, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Superannuation (Productivity Benefit) Act 1988 and the Productivity Commission (Repeals, Transitional and Consequential Amendments) Act 1998.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on gazettal.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Superannuation Benefit (Interim Arrangement) (Continuous Service) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 2 (Classes of persons for determining qualifying service)

3.1   Omit “Superannuation Benefit (Interim Arrangement) Act 1988,”, substitute “Superannuation (Productivity Benefit) Act 1988,”.

3.2   Paragraph 2 (y):

Omit “Industries Assistance”, substitute “Productivity”.

4.   Application of amendment

4.1   The amendment made by subregulation 3.2 has effect from the commencement of the Productivity Commission Act 1998.
