SUPERANNUATION (AXIOM FUNDS MANAGEMENT CORPORATION) ACT 1996 No 40—PROCLAMATION

(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor.

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Superannuation (Axiom Funds Management Corporation) Act 1996, do, by this my Proclamation:

(a)	appoint 9 May 1997 as the day on which Divisions 1, 2 and 4 of Part 3, and sections 59 (1) and 71 of that Act commence, and
(b)	appoint 16 May 1997 as the day on which Division 3 of Part 3, the uncommenced provisions of Part 4 (except section 60 (2)) and Schedules 2 and 4 to that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The obj ect of this Proclamation is to commence most of the uncommenc ed provisions

of the Superannuation (Axiom Funds Management Corporation) Act 1996 relating to the conversion of the Axiom Funds Management Corporation to a company and its subsequent sale. (The only provisions that will remain uncommenced are section 60 (2) and Schedule 3 to the Act.)
