Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Superannuation Regulation 2001 to remove a redundant provision following the abolition of the superannuation contributions surcharge by the Commonwealth from 1 July 2005.
This Regulation is made under the Superannuation Act 1916, including sections 61RA and

86 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Superannuation Amendment (Surcharge
Deduction Amount) Regulation 2005.

2 Amendment of Superannuation Regulation 2001

The Superannuation Regulation 2001 is amended as set out in
Schedule 1.
