Transition Agency) Order 2014

under the

Superannuation Act 1916

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor The Honourable Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 92 of the Superannuation Act 1916, make the following Order.

Dated, this 22nd day of January 2014.

By Her Excellency’s Command,

ANDREW CONSTANCE, MP

Minister for Finance and Services

Explanatory note
The object of this Order is to include the National Disability Insurance Scheme Launch Transition Agency (the Agency) in the list of employers in Schedule 3 to the Superannuation Act 1916. This is to reflect an agreement between the governments of the Commonwealth and State to roll out the National Disability Insurance Scheme in the Hunter region and allow for the continuity of entitlements of State disability services employees who commence employment with the Agency.
This will mean that those permanent employees of the Department of Family and Community Services (the Department) who are contributors to the State Superannuation Fund (the Fund) and who, on or after 4 October 2013, but before 1 July 2016, commenced permanent employment with the Agency immediately following their employment with the Department, will continue to be contributors to the Fund and be covered by the State Superannuation Scheme.
This Order is taken to have commenced on 4 October 2013, the date on which the NSW Government National Disability Insurance Scheme Launch Transition Agency Bilateral Agreement: Workforce Arrangements commenced.
This Order is made under section 92 of the Superannuation Act 1916.
