      1Citation [see Note 1]

 These Regulations may be cited as the Superannuation (Additional Pension) Regulations.

2Commencement

 These Regulations shall be deemed to have taken effect from and including 1 July 1976.

3Interpretation

 In these Regulations, the Act means the Superannuation Act 1976.

4Factor applicable for purposes of paragraph 57 (1) (a) of the Act

 For the purposes of paragraph 57 (1) (a) of the Act, the factor applicable to a person entitled to additional age retirement pension by virtue of section 55 of the Act is the factor specified in column 2 of Schedule 1 opposite to the age specified in column 1 of that Schedule that was that person’s age on his last day of service.

5Factor applicable for purposes of paragraph 91 (1) (a) of the Act

 For the purposes of paragraph 91 (1) (a) of the Act, the factor applicable in relation to the annual rate of spouse’s additional pension to which the spouse of a deceased eligible employee is entitled by virtue of section 89 of the Act is —

  • (a)

    where the spouse is a male-the factor specified in column 2 of Schedule 2; or

  • (b)

    where the spouse is a female-the factor specified in column 3 of that Schedule,

being the factor specified opposite to the age specified in column 1 of that Schedule that was the age of the spouse at the date of death of the deceased eligible employee.

6Factor applicable for purposes of sub-sections 61 (1) and (2) of the Act

 For the purposes of sub-section 61 (3) of the Act, the factor applicable to a person for the purposes of sub-sections 61 (1) and (2) of the Act is the factor specified in column 2 of Schedule 3 opposite to the age specified in column 1 of that Schedule that was that person’s age on his last day of service.

7Percentage applicable for purposes of definition in sub-section 61 (4) of the Act

 For the purposes of the definition of “notional final annual rate of salary” in sub-section 61 (4) of the Act, the percentage applicable to a person is the percentage specified in column 3 of Schedule 3 opposite to the age specified in column 1 of that Schedule that was that person’s age on his last day of service.
