SUPERANNUATION ACT 1916—REGULATION

(Amending a citation clause)

NEW SOUTH WALES

[Published in Gazette No. 102 of 25 August 1995]

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council,
and in pursuance of the Superannuation Act 1916, has been pleased to

make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

BOB CARR,

Premier.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 31 August 1995.

Amendment

2. The Superannuation (Government Insurance Office Employees)

Regulation 1990 is amended by inserting in clause 1 after the words “(Government Insurance Office Employees)’, the words “(Savings and Transitional)”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the citation clause of the Superannuation (Government Insurance Office Employees) Regulation 1990 so as to reflect the savings and transitional nature of the Regulation. This will more readily identify the Regulation as one that, by virtue of item 18 of Schedule 4 to the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989,

is excluded from the operation of that Act and, in particular, from the automatic repeal

provisions of section 10 of that Act.

This Regulation is made under the Superannuation Act 1916, in particular, section 86

(the general regulation-making power) and clause 4 of Schedule 23.
