Suncorp Insurance and Finance Act Amendment Act 1990, 1113 No. 63 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Suncorp Insurance and Finance Act Amendment Act 1990. 2. Citation . (1) In this Act, the Suncorp Insurance and Finance Act1985-1990 is referred to as the Principal Act. (2) The Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Suncorp Insurance and Finance Act 1985-1990. 3. Commencement. (1) Sections 1, 2 and this section commence on the day this Act is assented to for and on behalf of Her Majesty. (2) Except as provided by subsection (1), the provisions of this Act commence as from 1 July 1990. 4. Amendment of s. 13. Appointment of chief executive officer. Section 13 of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) in subsection (2), omitting the words "the Governor in Council" and inserting "the Board"; (b) omitting subsection (3). 5. Amendment of s. 23. Membership of Board. Section 23 of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) in subsection (1), omitting paragraphs (b) and (c) and inserting- "(b) seven other directors."; (b) in subsection (3), omitting the word "six" and inserting the word "seven". 6. Amendment of s. 25. Vacation ' of office. Section 25 (1) of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the words "other than the director who is the chief executive officer,". 7. Amendment of s. 26.
