s1 2 s4 Sugar Industry (Local Area Negotiation and No. 178, 1999 Dispute Resolution) Amendment (No. 1) ˙ Short title 1. This guideline may be cited as the Sugar Industry (Local Area Negotiation and Dispute Resolution) Amendment Guideline (No. 1) 1999 . ˙ Guideline amended 2. This guideline amends the Sugar Industry (Local Area Negotiation and Dispute Resolution) Guideline 1996 . ˙ Amendment of s 35 (Decision) 3. Section 35(1), from ‘must’ to ‘and’— omit, insert— ‘must, within 14 days after submissions close— (a) make a decision by choosing 1 of the offers; and’. ˙ Amendment of s 50 (Help to representatives) 4.(1) Section 50(2), from ‘not’ to ‘degree’— omit, insert— ‘be represented by a legal practitioner 1 ’. (2) Section 50— insert— 1 Under the Act, section 3— ‘ “legal practitioner” means— (a) a person duly admitted as a barrister of the Supreme Court whose name is currently on the Roll of Barristers of that Court; or (b) a person duly admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court whose name is currently on the Roll of Solicitors of that Court.’
