This guideline may be cited as the Sugar Industry (Assignment Grant) Amendment Guideline (No. 1) 1994 . ˙ Guideline amended 2. This guideline amends the Sugar Industry (Assignment Grant) Guideline 1994 . ˙ Amendment of s 10 (Conditions of grant of assignment) 3. Section 10(3)— omit, insert— ‘ (3) However, subsection (2) does not apply if— (a) the transaction or transfer is allowed under the Corporation’s policy circulars of 25 May 1993 and 19 April 1994 titled ‘Section 9.5—Guideline for Grant of Expansion Assignment’; or (b) the Corporation believes, on reasonable grounds, prohibition of the transaction or transfer would cause a person severe hardship. Examples of paragraph (b)— • bankruptcy or other severe financial hardship of the assignment holder • death or severe illness of the assignment holder.’. ENDNOTES 1.
