s1 4 Sugar Industry Amendment (No. 2) The Parliament of Queensland enacts— s4 No. 39, 1994 ˙ Short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Sugar Industry Amendment Act (No. 2) 1994 . ˙ Act amended 2. This Act amends the Sugar Industry Act 1991 . ˙ Amendment of s 9.3 (Corporation’s general authority over assignments) 3. Section 9.3— insert— ‘ (4) Without limiting subsection (3), a condition may— (a) prohibit a specified authorised transaction affecting the assignment or any other purported dealing in the assignment; or (b) prohibit a specified authorised transaction affecting the assignment or any other purported dealing in the assignment unless it complies with a specified condition. ‘ (5) A condition may provide for an exemption from a condition.’. ˙ Amendment of s 9.5 (Guidelines for grant of assignment) 4. Section 9.5(1)— insert— ‘(c) the conditions imposed, or that may be imposed, on the grant of an assignment under section 9.4.’.

s5 5 s5 Sugar Industry Amendment (No. 2) No. 39, 1994 ˙ Insertion of new s 14.31 5. In Part 14— insert— ˙ ‘ Conditions imposed on the grant or variation of assignments ‘ 14.31. To remove doubt, it is declared— (a) the Corporation always had power to impose a condition mentioned in section 9.3(4) or (5) on the grant or variation of an assignment; and (d) the Sugar Industry (Assignment Grant) Guideline 1994 was valid when made.’.
