This Act may be cited as "The Sugar Growers' a c n ~ d mmence. Employees .Act of 1913," and shall commence and take IIlent of Act.. effect on and after the date of the commencement of the Act of the Parliament of the Commonwealth intituled the Sugar BountyAbolitionAct 1912.- :Rates of 2. 'I'HE SCHEDULE. 1. The minimum wage for adult workers in the sugar industry shaH be eight shillings per day of eight hours, without keep. 2. This Act may be cited as " The Sugar Cultivation Shorttitleand Aot o U -f.' 1913 , " and shall commence and take effect on and cmoemnmt e o n f cAe- ct. after the date of the commencement of the Act of the Parliament of the Oommonwealth intituled the Sugar Bounty.Abolition Aot 1912.* 2. In this Act- The expression "Oertificate of having passed the I,nterpreta- dictation test" means a certificate under the bono hand of a State officer, authorised for that purpose by the Secretary for Agriculture, that, when the said officer has dictated to the person concerned not less than fifty words in such language as the Secretary for Agriculture may direct, such person has correctly written them out in that language in the presence of the said officer; * No. 26 of 1912. This Act was proclaimed to be in force on the 26th July, 1913.
