F by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows;- 1. (1.) This Act may be cited as "The Sugar ShorttiU<> Experiment Stations Acts Amendment Act of 1946," ~nd :!truction. shall be read as one with *" The Sugar Experiment Statwns Acts, 1900 to 1941," herein referred toas the Principal Act. (2.) The Principal Act and this Act may collectively Collective be cited as " The Sugar Experiment Stations Acts, 1900 title. to 1946." Amendments of the Principal Act. 2. (1.) A new subsection, lA, is inserted after Amendment subsection one of section thirty-one of the Principal of s. 31. Act as follows ;- " (lA.) Moreover when determining and sanctioning any such subsidy the Minister may, upon the further recommendation of the Advisory Board, apportion the amount thereof between the things, services and/or operations in respect of the costs of which such subsidy is to be payable, and the Cane Pest and Disease Control Board concerned shall be bound by such apportionment. * 64 V. PART I.-PRELIMINARY. Short title. 1. This Act may be cited as " The War Service (Sugar Industry) Land Settlement Act oJ 1946." Construction 2.
