[ASSENTED TO 6TH APRIL) 1948.] B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows;- Short title 1. This Act may be cited as " The Succession and and Probate Duties Acts Amendment Act of 1948," and shall construction. be read as one with *" The Succession and Probate Duties Acts, 1892 to 1935 " herein referred to as the Principal Act. Collective The Principal Act and this Act may collectively be title. cited as " The Succession and Probate Duties Acts, 1892 to 1948." Amendments 2. Section eight of t" The Succession and Probate ofs. 8 of DutiesAct of 1904 " is amended:- 4 Edw. VII. No. 17. (i.) By repealing the words "five pounds per centum" and by inserting the words "four pounds per centum" in lieu of such repealed words. (ii.) By repealing the woras "from the date of the death of the deceased" and by inserting the words "on and from the expiration of the period of three months next succeeding the date of the death of the deceased" in lieu of such repealed words. * 56 V.
