1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to extend the operation of the Water Industry Regulations 1995[1] for the period specified in regulation 3.

2Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 5 and 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994.

3Extension of operation

The operation of the Water Industry Regulations 1995 is extended for the period beginning on the day on which they would otherwise be revoked by virtue of section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 and ending on 18 December 2006.

1.     General Information

The Subordinate Legislation (Water Industry Regulations 1995 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2005, S.R. No. 146/2005 were made on 22 November 2005 by the Governor in Council, on the certificate and recommendation of the Minister for Water, under sections 5 and 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994, No. 104/1994 and came into operation on 22 November 2005.

The Subordinate Legislation (Water Industry Regulations 1995 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2005 will sunset 10 years after the day of making on 22 November 2015 (see section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994).

There are no amendments made to the Subordinate Legislation (Water Industry Regulations 1995 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2005 by statutory rules, subordinate instruments and Acts.
