Legislative history

1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Subordinate Legislation (Postponement of Expiry) Regulations 2008.

2—Commencement

These regulations come into operation on the day on which they are made.

3—Interpretation

In these regulations—

Act means the Subordinate Legislation Act 1978.

4—Postponement of expiry for 1 year—Regulations made before 1 January 1998

The expiry under Part 3A of the Act of the regulations listed in Schedule 1 is postponed for a period of 1 year commencing on 1 September 2008.

5—Expiry of obsolete regulations

The regulations listed in Schedule 2 will expire under the Act on 1 September 2008.
