1.Objectives
The objective of these Regulations is to extend the operation of the Police Regulations 1992[1] for the period specified in regulation 3.
2.Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 5 and 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994.
3.Extension of operation
The operation of the Police Regulations 1992 is extended for the period beginning on the day on which they would otherwise be revoked by virtue of section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 and ending on 31 January 2003.

1. General Information
The Subordinate Legislation (Police Regulations 1992 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2001, S.R. No. 154/2001 were made on 11 December 2001 by the Governor in Council under sections 5 and 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994, No. 104/1994 and came into operation on 11 December 2001.
The Subordinate Legislation (Police Regulations 1992 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2001 will sunset 10 years after the day of making on 11 December 2011 (see section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994).
2. Table of Amendments
There are no amendments made to the Subordinate Legislation (Police Regulations 1992 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2001 by statutory rules, subordinate instruments and Acts.
