The Governor in Council, on the certificate and
recommendation of the Minister for Youth and Community
Services, makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to extend the operation of the Intellectually Disabled Persons' Services Regulations 19871 for the period specified in regulation 3.

2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 5 and

28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994.

3. Extension of operation

The operation of the Intellectually Disabled for the period beginning on the day on which they

would otherwise be revoked by virtue of section 5
of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 and

ending on 7 September 1998.
