Subordinate Legislation (Forests (Licences and Permits) Regulations 1988 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 1998

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to extend the operation of the Forests (Licences and Permits) Regulations 1988[1] for the period specified in regulation 3.

2.Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 5 and 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994.

3.Extension of operation

The operation of the Forests (Licences and Permits) Regulations 1988 is extended for the period beginning on the day on which they would otherwise be revoked by virtue of section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 and ending on 19 December 1999.

1.     General Information

The Subordinate Legislation (Forests (Licences and Permits) Regulations 1988 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 1998, S.R. No. 134/1998 were made on 4 November 1998 by the Governor in Council, on the certificate and recommendation of the Minister for Conservation and Land Management, under sections 5 and 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994, No. 104/1994 and came into operation on 4 November 1998.

The Subordinate Legislation (Forests (Licences and Permits) Regulations 1988 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 1998 will sunset 10 years after the day of making on 4 November 2008 (See section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994).

There are no amendments made to the Subordinate Legislation (Forests (Licences and Permits) Regulations 1988 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 1998 by statutory rules, subordinate instruments and Acts.
