1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to extend the operation of the Coroners Regulations 1996[1] for the period specified in regulation 3.

2.Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 5 and 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994.

3.Extension of operation

The operation of the Coroners Regulations 1996 is extended for the period beginning on the day on which they would otherwise be revoked by virtue of section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 and ending on 6 May 2007.

1.     General Information

The Subordinate Legislation (Coroners Regulations 1996 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2006, S.R. No. 45/2006 were made on 2 May 2006 by the Governor in Council, on the certificate and recommendation of the Attorney-General, under sections 5 and 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994, No. 104/1994 and came into operation on 2 May 2006.

The Subordinate Legislation (Coroners Regulations 1996 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2006 will sunset 10 years after the day of making on 2 May 2016 (see section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994).

There are no amendments made to the Subordinate Legislation (Coroners Regulations 1996 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2006 by statutory rules, subordinate instruments and Acts.
