1.Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to extend the operation of the Cemeteries Regulations 1988[1] for the period specified in regulation 3.
2.Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 5 and 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994.
3.Extension of operation
The operation of the Cemeteries Regulations 1988 is extended for the period beginning on the day on which they would otherwise be revoked by virtue of section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 and ending on 30 June 2000.

1. General Information
The Subordinate Legislation (Cemeteries Regulations 1988 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 1999, S.R. No. 36/1999 were made on 30 March 1999 by the Governor in Council, on the certificate and recommendation of the Minister for Health, under sections 5 and 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994, No. 104/1994 and came into operation on 30 March 1999.
The Subordinate Legislation (Cemeteries Regulations 1988 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 1999 will sunset 10 years after the day of making on 30 March 2009 (see section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994).
2. Table of Amendments
There are no amendments made to the Subordinate Legislation (Cemeteries Regulations 1988 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 1999 by statutory rules, subordinate instruments and Acts.
