Subordinate Legislation Amendment (Revocation of Prescribed Bookshop) Regulations 2025

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Subordinate Legislation Regulations 2024 to reflect amendments to section 20 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 which change the method by which a bookshop is designated for the purposes of that section from prescription to approval.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 18 June 2025.

4Regulation 1 substituted

For regulation 1 of the Subordinate Legislation Regulations 2024[1] substitute—

"1   Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe the requirements for printing and publication of statutory rules that apply, adopt or incorporate matter.".

5Regulation 6 revoked

Regulation 6 of the Subordinate Legislation Regulations 2024 is revoked.
