An Act to amend the Subordinate Laws Act 1989

[Notified in ACT Gazette S289:  22 December 1994]

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

Short title

1.  This Act may be cited as the  Subordinate Laws (Amendment) Act (No. 3) 1994.

Commencement

2.  This Act commences on the day on which it is notified in the Gazette.

Principal Act

3.  In this Act, “Principal Act” means the Subordinate Laws Act 1989.1

Notification, tabling and disallowance

4.  Section 6 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from subsection (2) “with paragraph (1) (a)” and substituting:

“with—

(a)paragraph (1) (a); and

(b)any requirement in any Act or subordinate law that the first-mentioned subordinate law be published or notified in the Gazette.”.

Saving

5.  The amendment effected by section 4 is to be taken to apply, and to have always applied, in relation to the gazettal of all subordinate laws made before the date of commencement of this Act.
