Student Assistance Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Student Assistance Act 1973.

Commencement

1. Regulation 2 shall come into operation on 1 January 1982.

Eligibility—previous study and other academic reasons

2. Regulation 34 of the Student Assistance Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (1) (a) “or second” and substituting “second or third”.

Living allowance—students deemed to be of independent status

3. Regulation 41 of the Student Assistance Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (1) “43C,”.

Time limit for applications—first half of year

4. Regulation 45 of the Student Assistance Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulation (7).

Time limit for applications—short course

5. Regulation 45B of the Student Assistance Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulation (5).
