REGULATIONS UNDER THE STUDENT ASSISTANCE ACT 1973 *

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Student Assistance Act 1973.

AMENDMENT OF THE STUDENT ASSISTANCE REGULATIONS 

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 January 1978.

Eligibility

2. Regulation 34 of the Student Assistance Regulations is amended by inserting before paragraph (c) of sub-regulation (1) the following paragraph:

“ (a) if he is undertaking, or proposing to undertake, the first year of—

(i) the 3 year course of study for the Diploma in Physical Education at the Australian College of Physical Education;

(ii) the 3 year course of study for the Diploma of Business at the Avondale College; or

(iii) the 3 year course of study for the Diploma in Science at the Avondale College;”.
