AN ACT for closing portions of certain Streets

or Roads.

[Assented to, 23rd September, ig96.]

WHEREAS the parts of Streets and Roads described in the

Schedule hereto are crossed by the Eastern Railway, and P

have nearly all been fenced in and closed to vehicular traffic: And whereas it is desirable for the working of the said Railway that such parts of the said Streets and Roads should be completely closed, and such closure can be effected without injury to the public : Be it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. THIS Act may be cited as the Streets and Roads Closure (Eastern Railway) Act, 1896.

Short Title.

2. ALL rights of way in and over the parts of the Streets and

Roads particularly described in the Schedule hereto shall henceforth.

THE SCHEDULE.

No. 1.

All that part of Lilburn Road, North Fremantle, comprising 1 rood, more or less, and bounded as follows, viz. :—Commencing at the South-East corner of original Lot N F 16; thence 2498 links, bearing 35° 06'; thence 1365 links, bearing 168° 00'; thence 183 .3 links, bearing 215° 06'; thence 698 links, bearing 245° 12' ; thence 108 . 6 links, bearing 358° 11' to starting point. All bearings being relative to true meridian.

No. 2.

All that Street in North Fremantle lying on the North-East side N F 5, comprising 1 rood 17 poles, more or less, and bounded on the North by Lilburn Road, on the East by Crown lauds 400 links, on the South by Swan River, and on the West by N F 5 aforesaid 378 links.

No. 3.

All that part of Pensioner Road, North Fremantle, comprising 25=-.3 poles, more or less, and bounded as follows, viz. :—Commencing on the North-West boundary of Lot 20, a distance of 336 links from the North-East corner of said Lot; thence 2112 links, bearing 256° 39' ; thence 79 links, bearing 5° 25' ; thence 211 . 2 links, bearing 76° 39' ; thence 79 links, bearing 185° 25' to starting point. All bearings being relative to the true meridian.

No. 4.

All that part of Kensington Lane, City of Perth, comprising 5 poles more or less, and bounded as follows, viz. :—Commencing on the Western boundary of Perth Town Lot Y 63, a distance of 1541 links from its North-West corner ; thence Southerly, along East boundary of said Lane, 1031 links ; thence 33 links, bearing 289° 28'; thence Northerly, along West boundary of Lane, 105 links; thence by straight line to starting point. All bearings and linkages being more or less.

No. 5.

All that part of Lane, in City of Perth, lying between Town Lots Y 44 and Y 180, comprising 4 poles more or less, and bounded as follows, viz. Commencing on the South-East boundary of said Lot Y 44, a distance of 99 . 7 links from its North-East corner ; thence 84. 3 links bearing 208° 13'; thence 30 . 1 links bearing 113° 30'; thence 808 links bearing 280° 13'; thence by straight line to starting point. All bearings and distances being more or less.

No. 6.

All that portion of Edward Street, containing 1 rood 128 perches (more or less), starting from the intersection of the Southern side of the said Edward Street with Claisebrook Street, thence 3° 41' 821 links along the Western side of Claisebrook Street to the Northern boundary of Edward Street, thence along the North-Eastern boundary of Edward Street 298° 191 387 . 5 links, thence by a line 245° 171 95 links to the South-Western boundary of Edward Street, thence along that street's South-Western boundary 118° 121' 479 links to the starting point. All bearings being true or thereabouts—the measurements more or less.

No. 7.

All that part of surveyed road lying between Locations R and R 1, Swan District, comprising 35 poles more or less, and bounded as follows, viz. :—Com- mencing on the East boundary of Location R 1, a distance of 610 links from the North-East corner of said Location ; thence 2189 links, bearing 191° 15' ; thence 109 links, bearing 77° 14'; thence 216 . 7 links bearing 11° 15'; thence 107 . 8 links to starting point. Bearings and distances being more or less.

No. 8.

All that part of road lying South-East of Avon Location 188 comprising 16 poles more or less, and bounded as follows, viz :—Commencing on the South-

East boundary of said Location 188, at a distance of 718 . 7 links from the South- Eastern angle of same ; thence 1008 links bearing 157° 15' ; thence 100 links bearing 243° 091' ; thence 1008 links bearing 337° 15' ; thence 100 links bearing 63° 13' to starting point. All bearings and distances being more or less.

A11 that part of surveyed road lying North-West of Avon Location Y 28, com- prising 1 rood 12i poles more or less, and bounded as follows, viz.:—Commen- cing on the North-West boundary of Y 28, a distance of 119-6 links from the Northern angle of said Location ; thence 336 .8 links bearing 193° 40'; thence 171 . 5 links bearing 338° 00' ; thence 319 links bearing 13° 40' ; thence by straight line to starting point.

No, 10.

All that part of Avon Terrace, Town of York, comprising 22 poles more or less, and bounded as follows, viz.:—Commencing at the North-East corner of Suburban Lot 456 ; thence 45 links bearing 119° 00'; thence 624 links bearing 197° 45' ; thence 634 .2 links bearing 13° 46' to starting point.
