AN ACT to authorise the Closing of certain

Roads and Streets.

[Assented to, 23rd December, 97.]

E it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and

with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and

Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parlia-

ment assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

1. ALL rights of way on and over such portions of Streets or Roads as arc described in the Schedule hereto shall cease from the passing of this Act, and Her Majesty, her heirs and successors, may deal with such portions as if they had never been public streets or roads or subject to the said rights.

In the name and on behalf of the Queen I hereby assent

to this Act.

SCHEDULE.

IN THE TOWN OF BUD/BURY.

All that part of Eliot Street bounded by lines starting from the South-West corner of Bunbury Town Lot 120, being the intersection of the East side of Russell Esplanade with the North side of Eliot Street and extendin g 8 chains 50 links along the South boundaries of said Lot 120 and Lots 119, 118, 117, 116, 115, and 114 to the latter's South-East corner ; thence Southerly 1 chain, crossing said street to the North-East corner of Lot 152; thence Westerly 8 chains 50 links along the North boundaries of said Lot 152 and Lots 151, 150, 149, 148, 147, and 146 to the latter's North-West corner ; and thence Northerly 1 chain along afore- said East side of Russell Esplanade to the starting point. All measurements more or less.

IN NORTH BUNIIIIRY.

All the streets in the strip of land known as North Bunbury, situate between Wellington Location P. 403 and Point Macleod, and North of the teschenault Estuary.

IN NORTH FREMANTLE.

All that portion of John Street commencing at a point on the South side of John Street 75 links East of the North-Eastern boundary of North Fremantle Town Lot 22, and running Northwards at an angle of 61° 17' for a distance of 85.4 links ; thence Eastwards at an angle of 118° 43' for 6615 links ; thence Southwards at au angle of 71° 31' for 79 links, and then Westwards at an angle of 108° 29' for 677.5 links to the starting point.

IN THE TOWN OF COOLGARDIE.

All that portion of a public street, 1 chain 50 links wide, lying midway between and parallel to Toorak and Macdonald Streets, and situate between the East side of Lyon Street and the West side of Renou Street, exclusive of those por- tions of "Jobson," "Moran," " Lefroy," "Hunt," and " Ford" Streets where they intersect the aforesaid public street.

All that portion of King Street situate between the East side of Lyon Street and the West side of Jobson Street.

IN THE TOWNSITE OF BARDOC.

All that portion of Wells Street lying between the South and North sides respectively of Leslie and Nicholas Streets when produced East to the present East boundary of Bardoc townsite.

IN THE TOWNSITE OF CHIDLOW'S WELL.

All that portion of Thomas Street lying between the Southern side of Herbert Street and the Eastern side of Onslow Street.

All that portion of Hensman Street lying between the Southern side of Herbert Street and the North-Eastern side of Thomas Street, being the Eastern boundary of Lot No. 45, and the Western boundary of Lot No. 46.

All that portion of Onslow Street between the Southern side of Street

(unnamed) and North-East side of Thomas Street, being Eastern boundary of

Lot No. 53.

That portion of Street (unnamed) lying between the North-East side of

Thomas Street and East side of Onslow Street, being Northern boundary of

Lot No. 53.

Closing of certain Roads and Streets.

IN THE TOWNSITE Or BRIDGETOWN.

Commencing at a point 2 chains 20 links from the South-West boundary of Bridgetown Town Lot 23; thence along the same boundary of same allotment a distance of 3 chains 93 . 3 links to a point forming the South-East corner of said allotment; thence by a line 1 chain lc link bearing 14° 19' 25" West of South ; thence Westerly by a line 3 chains 93 . 8 links long forming part of the Northern boundary of Lot 11, Township of Bridgetown : then by a line bearing North by East 14° 5' 15" to the starting point.

IN THE TOWNSITE OF COOLGARDIE.

All those portions of Ford Street lying between the North side of King Street and the South side of Elvira, Street, and the North side of Elvira Street and the South side of Toorak Street ; also all that portion of Macdonald Street lying between a North line drawn from the North-West corner of Coolgardie Town Lot 1090 and the West side of Quarry Street produced to the North side of Macdonald Street.
