An Act to authorise the Closing of a Certain Portion of

Stirling Street, in the Town of Fremantle.

[Assented to 10th October, 1894.

HEREAS a certain piece of land in the Town of Fremantle, Preamble

Wa portion of a Public Street in the said town, known as Stirlinghereinafter more particularly described, has heretofore formed

Street : And whereas it is expedient that the said piece of land should cease to be a Public Street ; Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's

Closing of Portion of Stirling Street, Fremantle

Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

Eighth of way

1. All rights of way hi

and over that piece or parcel of land in the

abolished

Town of Fremantle, forming portion of Stirling Street, and running from the Northern side of Ellen Street, across Fremantle Town Lot 915, in a North-North-Westerly direction to the Northern boundary of the said Fremantle Town Lot 915, and measuring nine chains in length, shall henceforth cease and determine ; and the said piece or parcel of land shall, by virtue of this Act vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Town of Fremantle, in trust and to the end and intent that the same may henceforth be used and enjoyed, with the adjoining lands, by the inhabitants of the Town of Fremantle as a place of public recreation solely, and may be dealt with as if the same had never formed or been used as a public street.
