His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Strata Titles (Leasehold) Act 1986.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to increase and rationalise certain fees payable to the Registrar-General under the Strata Titles (Leasehold) Act 1986.

The Regulation is made under the Strata Titles (Leasehold) Act 1986, including sections 57B and 196 (the general regulation making power, in particular, section 196 ( 1 ) (d)).

1 Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Strata Titles (Leasehold) Amendment

(Fees) Regulation 1996.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 July 1996.

3     Amendment of Strata Titles (Leasehold) Regulation 1989

The Strata Titles (Leasehold) Regulation 1989 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.

(Clause 3)

Clause 43

Omit the clause. Insert instead:

43 Fees payable to Registrar-General (1974 Regs. 52 and

80)

The following fees are payable to the Registrar-General:

1       On lodgment of a plan for registration as a strata plan of subdivision, a strata plan of consolidation

or a building alteration plan ............. ......... 490.00
