Act No. 148, 1985

An Act to amend the Strata Titles Act 1973 as a consequence of the
enactment of the Valuation of Land (Amendment) Act 1985 and the

Land Tax Management (Amendment) Act 1985. [Assented to, 25th

November, 1985.]

Strata Titles (Land Tax) Amendment 1985

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Short title

1.     This Act may be cited as the "Strata Titles (Land Tax) Amendment

Act 1985".

Amendment of Act No. 68, 1973

2. The Strata Titles Act 1973 is amended in the manner set forth in

Schedule 1.

(Sec. 2)

AMENDMENTS TO THE STRATA TITLES ACT 1973

(1) (a) Section 89, definition of "appropriate valuing Act"—

Omit paragraph (b).

(b) Section 89, definition of "valuing authority"—

Omit paragraph (b).

(2) Section 92 (2) (c)—

Omit ", or deduction applicable under section 2 (1) or 2A (1) of

Schedule 3 to the Local Government Act, 1919".

(3) (a) Section 95 (6) (b)—

Omit "land value" wherever occurring, insert instead "adjusted value".

(b) Section 95 (7)—

Omit "land value" where firstly occurring, insert instead
"adjusted value".

(c) Section 95 (7)—

Omit "land value within the meaning of section 54", insert instead "adjusted value within the meaning of section 3 (1)".
