This Act may be cited as "The Stoclc Routes Short title Improvement and Animal and Vegetable Pests Destruction anI1d t' A cts A mendment A ct O . J f 1938, ' ' and shall be read as one ctiotlee.c lye with *" The Stoclc Routes Improvement and Animal and Vegetable Pests De8truction Acts, 1936 to 1937," hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act. The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively referred to as" The Stoclc Routes Improvement and Animal and Vegetable Pests Destruction Acts, 1936 to 1938." Amendments of the Principal Act. 2. (1.) Subsection two of section seven of the Amendment Principal Act is hereby amended as follows :-- of s. 7 (2). (a) The words "and/or reserves for travelling stock" are inserted after the words "stock routes." (b) The following new paragraph is added to the said subsection, namely:- "The regulations may prescribe that the rate or charge payable for the use of such water facilities as aforesaid shall be- (a) A rate or charge as prescribed payable for the actual use made for each such water facility; or (b) A composite rate or charg~ as prescribed payable for the use of all water facilities provided on a specified stock route and/or its associated reserves for travelling stock * 1 Edw. No. 16, 1938. and so payable notwithstanding that no use is made or intended to be made of all or any such water facilities; or (c) A composite rate or charge as prescribed payable for the use of all water facilities provided on stock routes and/or their associated reserves for travelling stock within a district within which this Act is in force or a specified part of such district and so payable notwithstanding that no use is made or intended to be made of all or any such water facilities." CroefosnpAsectcrttuicontfion made( 2b.) efEorvee, royn,doelreagfatteirotnhbe ypatshseinMg ionfitshteirs, Aacntd, cwhharegthinegr delegations. a Local Authority with the administration of *" The Stock Routes Improvement and Animal and Vegetable Pests Destruction Acts, 1936 to 1938," within the whole or so much of the Local Authority Area as is within a district within which this Act is in force shall be read and construed with the Principal Act as amended by this Act and to the intent that- (a) The power and authority conferred upon the Governor in Council under subsection two of section seven of the Principal Act as amended by this Act to make regulations shall confer and be deemed to confer a like power and authority upon the Local Authority so delegated to make by-laws, but such by-laws as well as all other by-laws made pursuant to such delegation shall be subject to approval by the Governor in Council; and (b) All moneys payable under this Act, and whether by way of assessment, rate, charge, or otherwise howsoever, which pursuant to its delegation are payable to a Local Authority shall be payable at the office of such Local Authority. * 1 Edw.
