Stock Routes and Rural Lands Protection Act and Other Acts Amendment Act 1984, No. 48 501 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- PART I-PRELIMINARY 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Stock Routes and Rural Lands Protection Act and Other Acts Amendment Act 1984. 2. Arrangement . This Act is arranged as follows:- PART I-PRELIMINARY; PART II-AMENDMENTS OF STOCK ROUTES AND RURAL LANDS PROTECTION ACT 1944-1978; PART III-AMENDMENTS OF BARRIER FENCES ACT 1954-1978; PART IV-AMENDMENTS OF RABBIT ACT 1964-1972. PART II-AMENDMENTS OF STOCK ROUTES AND RURAL LANDS PROTECTION ACT 1944-1978 3. Principal Act and citation as amended . (1) In this Part the Stock Routes and Rural Lands Protection Act 1944-1978 is referred to as the Principal Act. (2) The Principal Act as amended by this Part may be cited as the Stock Routes and Rural Lands Protection Act 1944-1984. 4. Amendment of s. 9 . Methods of raising revenue. Section 9 of the Principal Act is amended in subsection (1), in the first paragraph, by omitting the words " three quarters of a cent " and substituting the expression " 1.5 cents ". PART III-AMENDMENTS OF BARRIER FENCES ACT 1954-1978 5. Principal Act and citation as amended . (1) In this Part the Barrier Fences Act 1954-1978 is referred to as the Principal Act. (2) The Principal Act as amended by this Part may be cited as the Barrier Fences Act 1954-1984. 6. Amendment of s. 19. Annual rates . Section 19 of the Principal Act is amended in subsection (2), in the second paragraph, by omitting the words " one and one quarter cents " and substituting the expression " 3 cents ".

(2) The Principal Act as amended by this Part may be cited as the Rabbit Act 1964-1984. 9. Amendment of s. 26. Funds raised by rates. Section 26 of the Principal Act is amended in subsection (2), in the first paragraph, by omitting the words " one quarter of a cent " and substituting the expression " 0.35 cents ".
