An Act to Amend "The Stock Returns Acts, 1893 THE STOCK RETURNS to 1942," in certain particulars. ACTS AMENDlKBNT ACT OF 1946. [ ASSENTED TO 30TH APRIL, 1946.] B E it enacted by the King's Most Excel1ent Majesty, . by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- Short title 1. This Act may be cited as "The Stock Returns :!tructiOn. Acts Amendment Act of 1946," and shall be read as one with *" The Stock Returns Acts, 1893 to 1942," herein referred to as the Principal Act. Make a return in the form in the Schedule to this Act of the number and description of all stock kept or depastured or, in the case of travelling stock, being travelled in any Local Authority Area upon such date; and (ii.) Forward such return to the clerk of petty sessions nearest to the place where such stock were kept or depastured or, in the case of travelling stock, being travelled upon such date, and any owner of stock or, in the case of travelling stock, drover or person in charge who fails to so make and forward such return or who so makes and forwards any such return which is false or misleading shall be liable to a penalty of not more than fifty pounds. * 57 V. Section 3A of the Principal Act is repealed and of the following section is inserted in lieu thereof, namely : - ~ 3A~ ew " [3A.] The Government Statistician shall in each! ~ list year commencing with the year one thousand nine printed and hundred and forty-six cause to be printed and published published. a list of all returns under this Act in respect of such year received by him and recorded in the book kept for the purpose, and any printed paper purporting to be such list and to be published by the Government Statistician and printed by the Government Printer shall in all courts be evidence of every return included therein to the same extent as the original of such return would be."
