AN ACT to further regulate the importation of Cattle

Sheep or Pigs.

[Assented to, 11th July, 1873.]

HEREAS it is expedient to make further provision for the

Wpigs; Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Westernpurpose of regulating the importation of cattle sheep and

Australia and its Dependencies by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof:—

1 WHENEVER it shall appear to the Governor in Executive Go make order

such offence to such penalty recoverable as hereinafter mentioned

not exceeding Fifty pounds as may be named in such order ; and that any cattle sheep or pigs imported into the Colony contrary to the terms of such order shall be seized and destroyed.

person offending against the terms of such order shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable to the penalty not. exceeding Fifty pounds named in the order ; And such penalty shall be Tecoverable in a summary manner before two Justices of the Peace ; And on proof of any such offence such Justices shall direct the cattle sheep or pigs that have been imported contrary to the terms of such order to be seized and destroyed.
