Stock (Identification and Movement)

Amendment Regulations 2009

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.           Citation

These regulations are the Stock (Identification and Movement)
Amendment Regulations 2009.

2.            Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)

regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;

(b) the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

These regulations amend the Stock (Identification and
Movement) Regulations 1972.

4.            Regulation 19B inserted

After regulation 19A insert:

19B. Inspector or Police officer may ask for name and
address
(1) An Inspector or Police officer may, in the exercise or

proprietor of any stock or the person who is, or appears

to be, in charge of any stock to —

(a)

state his or her full name and residential address; and

(b)

produce for inspection evidence of the correctness of the name and address stated.

(2) A person must comply with a request made under

subregulation (1), unless he or she has a reasonable

excuse for not doing so.
