Stock (Identification and Movement)

Amendment Regulations 2004

Made by the deputy of the Governor in Executive Council.

1.            Citation

These regulations may be cited as the Stock (Identification and
Movement) Amendment Regulations 2004.

2.            The regulations amended

The amendments in these regulations are to the Stock
(Identification and Movement) Regulations 1972*.

3. Regulation 11A amended
Regulation 11A is amended as follows:

(a)	after paragraph (a)(ii) by inserting — " and ";
(b)

after paragraph (a)(iii) by deleting "that tag; and" and " that tag, ";

(c) by deleting paragraph (a)(iv).

4.            Regulation 20(1) replaced

Regulation 20(1) is repealed and the following regulations are inserted instead -

(1) For the purposes of section 46 of the Act, a document

(by whatever name called) that complies with
section 46 and subregulation (la) may be used in place

of a waybill referred to in that section.

(la) The document must contain, in addition to the full

name and address, in block letters, of the proprietor or
other person for the time being having custody and
control of the stock to be removed, the full name of the
person droving or carrying the stock and a

distinguishing serial number, particulars of -

(a)	the run or other place from which the stock are to be removed;
(b)	the registered brand of the owner of the stock or, if the owner's property has a property identification code, the property identification code;
(c)	the total number of the stock;
(d)	the number of stock of each type referred to in subregulation (2);
(e)	the breed, sex and age of the stock;
(f)	any registered brand on the stock;
(g)	any registered earmark on the stock;
(h)	if the stock are tagged under Part 9 of the Enzootic Diseases Regulations 1970, the tag;

(i)     the destination of the stock; and

(j) the number plate for each vehicle (if any) in

which the stock are to be carried.

(lb) In this regulation -

"number plate" means a number plate, identification

tablet, special plate or name plate within the of another State or a Territory.

5.            Regulation 20B amended

Regulation 20B is amended by inserting after "waybill" -

6.            Regulation 20D amended

Regulation 20D is amended by deleting "and the original and first copy shall be signed by the person taking delivery of the stock".

7.            Schedule 1 amended

Schedule 1 is amended by deleting Form No. 7.
