STOCK DISEASES ORDINANCE.
STOCK DISEASES REGULATIONS.*
REGULATIONS 1961. No. 8.t
Regulation 6 of the Stock Diseases Regulations 1935 is amended by
inserting after sub-regulation (2.) the following sub-regulations:-
" (2A.) The conditions under which a person may bring swine, or cause
swine to be brought, into the Territory are-
( a) that a Permit for Movement of Stock in accordance with Form 3 of the Regulations has been issued by an Inspector in respect of the movement of the swine into the Territory and the terms and conditions of the Permit so far as they are capable of being complied with before the swine are brought into the Territory have been complied with; and
(b) that-
(i) the swine are, upon being brought into the Territory, forthwith taken by the shortest possible route to the public 1abattoir known as the Canberra Abattoir established by the Minister under section 8 of the Meat Ordinance 1931-1953 and are there kept until they are slaughtered; or
(ii) the written approval of the Director has first been
obtained for the taking of the swine to a destination
other than the Canberra ·Abattoir. ·
" (2B.) A person who brings swine, or causes swine. to be brought, into
the Territory shall comply with the conditions referred to in the last
preceding sub-regulation.".
