REGULATIONS 1962. No. 34
1. Regulation 1 of the Stock Diseases Regulations 1935 is amended
I omitting the figures " 1935 ".

2. Regulation 6 of the Stock Diseases Regulations 1935 is amended— (a) by omitting sub-regulation (1.) and inserting in its stead the
following sub-regulations:—
" (1.) A person shall not bring, or cause or permit to be brought, into the Territory cattle that are affected with con- tagious pleuro-pneumonia of cattle or that have been in contact with cattle so affected.
" (1A. ) Subject to sub-regulation (2.) of this regulation, a person shall not bring cattle into the Territory, or cause or permit cattle to be brought into the Territory, unless the owner or person in charge of the cattle has furnished to an Inspector a declaration, signed by that owner or person in

charge, declaring that the cattle have not been in contac with cattle affected with contagious pleuro-pneumonia o cattle.
" (1B.) Subject to sub-regulation (2.) of this regulation the Inspector to whom a declaration under the last precedinj sub-regulation has been furnished may require the persoi furnishing the declaration to cause the cattle to which th> declaration relates to be produced to an Inspector fo examination and to furnish to the Inspector such informatioi as the Inspector considers necessary to show that the cattl have never been in contact with cattle affected with con tagious pleuro-pneumonia of cattle.
" (lc.) Where, under the last preceding sub-regulatioi cattle have been required to be produced to an Inspector, person shall not bring the cattle into the Territory, or caus or permit the cattle to be brought into the Territory, unles the requirement has been complied with.
" ( ID.) Subject to the next succeeding sub-regulation, person shall not bring cattle into the Territory, or cause ( permit cattle to be brought into the Territory, unless a Perm for Movement of Stock, in accordance with Form 3 in tl Regulations, has been issued in respect of the movement < the cattle into the Territory and the terms and conditioi of the Permit have been complied with.
" (1E.) The last preceding suh-regulation does not app to or in relation to cattle—
(a) that are brought into the Territory from an an that is a protected area as regards pleur pneumonia of cattle for the purposes of the Sto Diseases Act, 1922-1934 of the State of N« South Wales;
(b) that do not travel outside such an area in t
course of being brought into the Territory; a(c) that are not brought into the Territory across t
prescribed quarantine line.";
(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (2.) all words after paragra (c) and inserting in their stead the following words:—
"sub-regulations (1A.) and (1B.) of this regulationnot apply to or in relation to the bringing of the cat
into the Territory."; and
(c) by inserting in sub-regulation (3.), after the definition
" Inspector ", the following definition:—
" ' the prescribed quarantine line' means the line co mencing at the intersection of the parallel 35 degr 18 minutes 45 seconds south latitude with
meridian 148 degrees 48 minutes 30 seconds e longitude thence following the boundary between Territory and the State of New South Wales generi north-easterly and then southerly to the intersect of the parallel 35 degrees 15 minutes 30 seco south latitude with the meridian 149 degrees minutes 30 seconds east longitude;".
