s1 2 s5 Stock (Cattle Tick) Amendment Notice (No. 2) 2003 No. 277, 2003 1 Short title This notice may be cited as the Stock (Cattle Tick) Amendment Notice (No. 2) 2003 . 2 Notice amended This notice amends the Stock (Cattle Tick) Notice 1993. 3 Amendment of s 5 (Definitions) (1) Section 5, definition “clean inspection”, after ‘the inspector’— insert— ‘or approved person’. (2) Section 5, definitions “manageable, groomed”, “preliminary treatment” and “treatment”, after ‘an inspector’— insert ‘or approved person’. (3) Section 5, definition “preliminary treatment”, ‘cattle tick free’— omit, insert ‘free of cattle tick’. 4 Amendment of s 53 (General dispensation of treatment requirements) (1) Section 53(1), ‘movement of stock’— omit, insert— ‘type of stock movement’. (2) Section 53(1), ‘the movement’— omit, insert ‘the type of movement’. 5 Amendment of s 54 (Stock movements requiring a travel permit) (1) Section 54(1), after ‘7C’—
s5 3 s5 Stock (Cattle Tick) Amendment Notice (No. 2) 2003 No. 277, 2003 insert— ‘, unless the movement is a movement— (a) mentioned in section 9, 21, 33, 48 or 49C; or (b) in which stock are conveyed directly from a place in the infected area to another place in the infected area— (i) through a protected area, using a railway or road approved by the chief inspector; or (ii) through a provisionally protected area; or (iii) through the north west Queensland cattle tick protected area.’.
