2 Stock (Cattle Tick) Amendment (No. 1) No. 66, 1994 ˙ Short title 1. This notice may be cited as the Stock (Cattle Tick) Amendment Notice (No. 1) 1994 . ˙ Commencement 2. This notice commences on 1 March 1994. ˙ Amended notice 3. The Stock (Cattle Tick) Notice 1993 is amended in this notice. ˙ Amendment of s 4 (How object is to be achieved) 4. Section 4— insert— ‘ (e) requiring a person travelling stock on certain movements to obtain a travel permit for the movement. ’. ˙ Amendment of s 10 (Stock from tick-free premises and racehorses and trotting horses) 5. Section 10(2)— omit ‘ to or from ’, insert ‘ to and from ’. ˙ Amendment of s 15 (Movement of stock from infected property) 6. Section 15(4)— omit . ˙ Amendment of s 22 (Stock from tick-free premises and racehorses and trotting horses) 7. Section 22(2)— omit ‘ to or from ’, insert ‘ to and from ’.

After section 53— insert— ˙ ‘Stock movements requiring a travel permit ‘54.(1) A travel permit under section 21 of the Act must be obtained for a movement of stock mentioned in Part 4, 5, 6 or 7. ‘(2) If cattle are to be moved on a journey from a place in the infected area to or through a place outside the infected area, a travel permit must be obtained for the movement of the cattle from the place the journey starts to the inspection point. ‘(3) A permit required by subsection (2) is in addition to a permit required by subsection (1). ‘(4) In this section— “inspection point” means the place where an inspector inspects the cattle before deciding whether to allow them to be moved outside the infected area. ’.
