An Act further to amend an Act, No. 20 of 22nd Victoria, intituled

An Act for an Assessment on Stock, undrfor other purposes

therein mentioned."

HEREAS by an Act No. 20 of 1868 it was enacted that on Preamble.

W application from the lessee, twelve months bdore the expira-

tion of any lease of the Waste Lands of the Crown for pastoral plw-

poscs, the annual valuc of the land comprised in such lcase should

be determined as in the said Act mentioned, and that .such valuation,

on being confirmed by the Governor in Executive Council, should be forthwith published in the S'ozrth Australian Government Gazette, for geueral information; and it was further enacted that the person beneficially interested in any such lease at the expiration thereof should be also entitled to a renewed lease of the lands comprised therein, for the further term of five years, at the annual rcnt to be determined as aforesaid; and in case hc should, within three months after notice of zl valuation having been so fixed, as aforesaid, decline to accept a renewed lease of such land at such rent, the lands included in such lease should be dealt with and disposed of in accordance with any lams OF regulations affecting the leasing of the Waste Lands of the Crown for the time being in force: And whereas the several lessees, whose names appear in the Schedule hereto, are respectively lessecs of Waste Lands of the Crown, the number of whose respcctive lcascs appear against the name of each lessee in such Schedule, and such persons have by inadvertence neglected to make application twelve months before the expira- tion of their respective leases, and it is expedient to rectify such mistake-Be it therefore Enacted by the Governor-in-Chief of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent
