[A ssented to 9 th A pril , 1959.] B E it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis­ lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:— short title. Principal Act‘ 1. (1.) This Act may be cited as “ The Stock Acts Amendment Act of 1959.” (2.) *“ The Stock Acts, 1915 to 1958,” are in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. Collective (3.) The Principal Act and this Act may be tltle- collectively cited as “ The Stock Acts, 1915 to 1959.” Amendment of a. 5 a ( 2 ). 2. Subsection two of section 5 a of the Principal -s amen(je(j by repealing in subparagraph (ii.) of paragraph ( h ) thereof the words “ Area of the City of Brisbane as set forth by f“ The City of Brisbane Acts, 1924 to 1951,” ” and by inserting, in lieu of those repealed words, the words “ petty sessions district of Brisbane ”. Amendment of a. 6 a (3). 3. Subsection three of section 6 a of the Principal amende(i by inserting, after the words “with the Minister under this Act ”, the words and brackets “ (including payments as so agreed upon in respect of mileage travelled for the purpose of performing veterinary services) ”. Amendments 4-. Section nineteen of the Principal Act is ofs'19‘ amended— (а) By repealing in subsection one thereof the words “ owner or ” ; (б) By repealing in subsection four thereof the words “ owner or ” ; * 6 G. 5 No. 16 and amending Acts, t 15 G. 5 No. 32 and amending Acts.

STOCK. 1959. Stock Acts Amendment Act. (c) By, in subsection five thereof,— (i.) Repealing the words “ owner or ” ; (ii.) Inserting after the words “ any drover ” the words “ other than the bona fide owner thereof”; and (iii.) Repealing the words “ the actual ” and inserting, in lieu of those repealed words, the words “ such bona fide ”. 741 5. Subsection one of section twenty-one of the Amendments Principal Act is amended— ofs. 2 i(i). (a) By repealing the words “ owner or ” where those words appear in the first and second paragraphs of that subsection; and (b) By repealing the words “ an owner of horses or cattle ” where those words appear in the third paragraph of that subsection and inserting, in lieu of those repealed words, the words “ any person in charge of horses 6. Subsection one of section twenty-five of the Principal Act is amended by inserting therein after ° s‘ the words “ with or without assistants ”, the words “ and with such vehicle or vehicles and equipment, plant and instruments as he may consider necessary for the proper discharge of his duties ”.
