AN ORDINANCE

I To amend the Stock Ordinance 1934-1941.
BE it ordained by the Governor-General in and over the Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the Commonwealth of Australia, with the advice of the Federal Seat of Government Acceptance Act 1909-1938 and the Seat of
Government (Administration) Act 1910-1947, as follows:—

1.—(1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Stock Ordinance shorttitie

jg^g and citation.

(2.) The Stock Ordinance 1934-1941 is, in this Ordinance,

referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance,

may be cited as the Stock Ordinance 1934-1948.

2. Section four of the Principal Ordinance is amended by Definitions,

inserting after the definition of "Par t ly stocked land " the follow-

ing definition:—

" ' Permit to travel stock' means a permit to travel stock

Issued in pursuance of this Ordinance;".

3 . Section eleven of the Principal Ordinance is amended by Returns,

inserting in sub-section (3.), after the word " Inspector ", the words

" or a Police Officer ".

4. Section twenty-six of the Principal Ordinance is repealed

and the following section inserted in its stead:—

(a) stock travelling between two runs held by the same

owner and situated not more than ten miles apart; and

(b) stock travelling to or from a shearing shed or dip.
