Act relating to the Salary and Allowances of the Person holding the Office of
Director constituting the Australian Stevedoring Industry Authority.

it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of
Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—
Short
title and citation.
1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Stevedoring Industry (Temporary Provisions) Act (No.
2) 1970.
(2.) Section 1
of the Stevedoring Industry (Temporary Provisions) Act 1970 is amended by omitting
sub-section (3.).
(3.) The Stevedoring Industry (Temporary Provisions) Act 1967–1968, as amended by the Stevedoring Industry (Temporary Provisions) Act 1970 and by this Act, may be cited
as the Stevedoring Industry (Temporary Provisions) Act 1967–1970.
Commencement.
2.This Act shall come into operation on the day on which
it receives the Royal Assent.
Remuneration
of Director.
3. Section 6c
of the Stevedoring Industry (Temporary Provisions) Act 1967–1968, as amended by the Stevedoring Industry (Temporary Provisions) Act 1970, is amended by omitting
sub-sections (1.) and (2.) and inserting in their stead the following
sub-sections:—
“(1.) The
Director shall be paid salary at the rate of Eleven thousand eight hundred and
twenty-two dollars a year.
“(2.) The
Director shall be paid such allowances as are prescribed.”.
