An Act to amend
the Stevedoring Industry Levy Act 1977

BE IT ENACTED by the Queen, and the
Senate and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as
follows:
Short
title, &c.
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Stevedoring Industry Levy Amendment Act 1985.
(2) The Stevedoring Industry Levy Act 19771is in this Act referred to as the
Principal Act.
Rate
of levy referred to in paragraph 4 (1) (c)
2. Section 7 of the
Principal Act is amended—
(a)
by omitting “75 per centum” and substituting “75%”; and
(b)
by adding at the end “, or such lower amount per tonne of local cargo loaded
into ships as is prescribed”.
